The process of Creative Critical Reflection

 Sir's Reviews

We were done with editing process a day before yesterday and met the deadline which was today 21st Feb. Sir asked us to change sync the sound of the footsteps, continue the scores throughout the film and add incidental music on Jumpscares. Font size of the titles was also an issue. Overall sir liked the film. Now Yumna and I will work together on the changes.

 Further process of Editing

My partner Yumna is taking the lead for inserting the sounds and titles. Further changes like colour saturation is also being dealt with. Due to some family matters, I can't help her with the initial editing process. However, we've agreed on working together if changes are required. The most frustrating the thing she's facing is the rendering. That consumes most of her time and energy.

 End of Rough Cut

Working for the rough cut wasn't hard at all but I struggled to pick and choose between the clips. Anyways today I officially ended the rough cut process without difficulty.

Adobe Premier keeps crashing! I tried a million times but it just refuses to work. Apparently according to the app the issue were the video drivers. I spent 5 hours trying to fix it and update the drivers, nothing changed. I took the laptop to our sir and it was the high resolution that was the problem and i had to convert it to 1080p before using it on the software. My device couldn't handle 4k resolution. When that was taken care of, I also downloaded an older version of the software in order for it work more smoothly.

Apparently I am given the job to make the rough cut but the videos refuse to upload on the google drive. Justified considering 60+ files of the shoot. We tried other ways but the quality ruins each time. Yumna re-uploaded them one by one to make it work..

 Shooting Day

Today was our first shooting and gladly we completed the filming in a day. We struggles in various ways, initially the location due to personal reasons. After the location, the actor, gladly out classmate Fahad Opel agreed with the challenge! During the shoot we had some complications with the lighting and struggled with direction throughout but we pulled it off somehow, thanks to our collective efforts.
